This is an accounting position for a highly experienced professional. Responsibilities include financial analysis and reporting in the accounting department of Prescription Solutions, the pharmacy benefit management division of UnitedHealthcare. This will be a high visibility position with the expectation initially of hands on, detailed analysis and reporting with an opportunity for expanding responsibilities and personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

Initial area of focus will be pharmaceutical manufacturer rebates
Perform complex rebate analysis while working closely with rebate accounting team to gain a thorough understanding of all rebate accounting activities
Work closely with the rebate contracting and billing department
Present/discuss rebate analysis as needed in cross-departmental meetings with all levels of management
Perform Ad hoc data mining and reporting from the company's data marts for rebates and claims in response to rebate questions from various departments
Run financial reports in Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft, Oracle and NVision
Identify and recommend areas for process improvements
Opportunities for expanding responsibilities of reporting and analysis related to retail and mail service pharmacy claims revenues and expenses

Qualifications

CPA (with audit experience at public accounting firm) or MBA strongly preferred
At least 5 years experience managing others
At least 5 years experience involving ad hoc and/or advanced analytic reporting
Excellent written and oral communication skills required as this position will ensure clear and thorough communication between accounting, finance and client
Strong computers skills including experience with data warehouses, Microsoft Access, relational databases, or structured query language (SQL) is required
Experience troubleshooting erroneous data and collaborating with accountants to reconcile data across disparate applications
Knowledge of accounting systems, GAAP, and financial statement reporting expertise. PeopleSoft experience would be preferred
Experience within the drug and/or pharmacy industry a plus
Excellent organizational skills; demonstrated management skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Self-starter; detail oriented; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and meet short deadlines
Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with executives across the organization.
