Job Summary

The Product Platform Team is responsible for building industry "best-in-class" platforms for Enterprise Storage and AI. We are responsible for delivering a set of shared platforms and services that innovate to power the storage and data management needs of Fortune 500 companies spanning enterprise and cloud deployments. 

We have a unique opportunity in the Product Platform team for a Principal Product Manager who will focus on building next-generation storage solutions for AI/ML and Enterprise Applications through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. The Principal Product Manager works closely with product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. This role will involve analyzing current solution portfolio to identify gaps, develop roadmap and help define the overall product strategy. This entails a firm understanding of software platform, infrastructure, and AI market; business case (current and potential revenue) and the necessary competitive positioning to allow Product Platform team to shape and deliver customer-centric and innovative product offerings.
This role reports to Senior Director, Product Management in Platform Product and Engineering team.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management, product marketing, business consulting, or business operations related relevant experience.
  • Inbound Product Management experience
  • Experience in defining product line roadmap and strategy.
  • Proven leadership in working cross functionally with development, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
  • Ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and scope business requirements.
  • Decompose technical propositions into straightforward solutions.
  • Experience creating B2B service offerings that cater to a wide audience.
  • Experience working in the Enterprise Storage and data management industry, familiarity with NetApp and competitors is a plus.
  • Experience in AI/ML workloads is a plus 

Education

Bachelor's degree required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred and/or, relevant experience.

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is [$218,550] - [$267,080].  Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.  In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
