This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting. Tasks for this position must be performed on-site.

Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership and direction to technicians that maintain Launch Test Range Systems (LTRS) for Telemetry Instrumentation on the Western Range
  • Provide day to day coordination with operations personnel, management, and government representative(s) to ensure all operations are properly supported
  • Ensure all scheduled preventative maintenance actions are completed on schedule
  • Assist employees with problem resolution, seek interpretation of company policies as required, hold site safety meetings, and enforce safety regulations
  • Ensure mission equipment is properly maintained in accordance with applicable manuals, technical orders, and procedures
  • Ensure adequate operational spares, supplies and consumables are on hand to support O&M tasks and objectives
  • Oversee training to ensure qualified personnel are available to support scheduled operations in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance Enterprise Qualification Program (EQP)
  • Oversee the setup and operation of mission equipment to ensure all requirements are satisfied according to mission documentation
  • Monitor personnel and system performance during operations to ensure status reporting is accomplished in accordance with LISC Operating Instruction (LOI) for Reporting Range System Status During Launch Operations and Mission Rehearsals
  • Facilitate expeditious resolution of anomalies that occur during launch operations
  • Prepare and provide system status reports and briefings as required
  • Interface with all Western Range (WR) resources, management, appropriate government stakeholders and contractors to ensure continuity of information for Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
  • Provide discipline as required in accordance with RGNext policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Oversee projects on site
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, science, engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a technically disciplined environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of telemetry and instrumentation, preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience at a supervisory level preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Western Range operational subsystems and their interrelationships as they are applied to planning and execution of launch and landing operations preferred.
  • Experience working with a Collective Bargaining Agreement and represented personnel preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 10%).
  • Ability to work second shift.
  • The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.

The salary range for this role is $76,970 to $120,485 however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
