Role and Responsibilities

VSolvit seeks an Engineer/Scientist III for a federal contract located in Point Mugu CA. This full-time position will be part of VSolvit's team providing Engineering, Technical, and Programmatic support services for development of Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Warfare (EW) products for the US Navy.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

• MA/MS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Computer Science, Information Systems
• OR BA/BS with 4 additional years of experience

Required Experience

• 10 years of experience with research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
• Three (3) years of technical experience in support of electronic warfare working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
• 10 years of experience working with US Navy EW capable airframes such as EA-6B, EA-18G or P-8 as Pilot, Flight Crew, or Support Systems Engineer
• In depth understanding of the processes and procedures for the development, programming, testing, and maintenance requirements of Radio Frequency system's software and hardware in both single platforms and dynamic networked environments, and understanding of how such systems interact within an airframe.
• 5 years experience in a management or leadership position within a multi-team developmental environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance
• Ability and willingness to travel between 5-10% of the work year, with potential for OCONUS trips
