Position Summary

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for part-time instructors to teach PROD 301 - Introduction to Life and Career Planning. This course introduces students to a decision-making process that will help them envision and plan for a future career that is productive, achievable, and stimulating. The course culminates with the development of a 10-year career/education plan that can be used for advisory and academic purposes. This plan provides students with the focus and intrinsic motivation to succeed in college, at work, and in life.

Instructor may be assigned to teach at off-campus locations, including Santa Barbara County North Branch Jail and safe and halfway living facilities. Class will likely be composed of justice system involved and/or currently/formerly incarcerated students.

Essential Functions and Qualifications

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
* Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
* Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
* Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
* Teach all scheduled classes.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling; Master's degree in Education, or Office Technologies. Consideration may be given to individuals who hold a Bachelor's degree and two years of related professional experience.

Additional Information

SALARY:
Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience

Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
