Job Description

Hill International is seeking a Sr Program Scheduler in San Francisco, California


  • Develop project control strategies and plans around schedule control, risk management, change management, forecasting, and fiscal reporting of projects.
  • Coordinate with relevant project team experts and resources to obtain information necessary to evaluate schedule.
  • Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, consider effects of concurrent delays.
  • Develop and maintain cost loaded and integrated project master schedule, control level schedule and detailed schedules.
  • Identify key activities, milestones, constraints, and interfaces for coordination purposes.
  • Establish and monitor the schedule critical path and assess and report on schedule variances.
  • Identify related disruption and acceleration, if any, and schedule delays or gains.
  • Evaluate schedule trends and develop mitigation measures to deliver projects on-time.
  • Monitor and control program compliance in respect to the projects overall contractual obligations.
  • Prepare detailed plans and time scaled charts and diagrams as appropriate to support conclusions of evaluation, and as needed to communicate results to owner or third parties to dispute resolution processes
  • Provide reports of analyses and briefing materials as required. Develop reports that effectively communicate complex project sequencing and/or assessments.
  • Identify detrimental issues and recommend mitigations to those issues as it relates to budget, cost, risk, claims, and schedule activities.
  • Assist the Project Controls Managers in maximizing the potential of the project.
  • May assume other duties as required or needed


  • A four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • 15 plus years of scheduling experience with at least 5 years of scheduling experience in direct support of a heavy civil construction project.
  • Prior experience with large transportation projects, particularly aviation projects is highly desirable.
  • Mastery of Primavera Project Planner Version 6 or higher is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Direct experience with Progressive Design-Build and/or alternative project delivery is highly desirable.
  • Effectively communicate technical and schedule related information in oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other subject matter experts and resources to support owner's evaluation of schedule.
  • Full Covid-19 vaccination is recommended. Mandatory vaccinations and proof of vaccination are subject to client requirements, federal, state or local law.

The salary range for this position is $165,000-$195,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
