The ability to advance Snowflake's native governance capabilities is a critical foundational pillar for a modern and performing Data Cloud. The Governance team builds new capabilities to empower customers to easily and efficiently Know, Monitor, Protect and Audit their data and AI/ML assets at scale in the Data Cloud.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team to work on innovative new features to expand Snowflake leadership in data and AI/ML assets quality governance. This role is a good fit for an experienced product manager who is both passionate and hands-on.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Define and execute the product vision for governance capabilities to automate data quality monitoring
  • Define and evolve the vision and direction for monitoring the quality of AI/ML assets to support new use cases.
  • Work in a cross-functional and collaborative role spanning several teams such as product, design, data scientists, technical program managers, engineering, product marketing and alliances, sales, support, and professional services.
  • Manage customer preview programs and engage in frequent conversations with customers both to understand their needs, gather feedback, and overall ensure that product direction is in tune with customer needs.
  • Manage and structure projects to ensure smooth execution of the product roadmap.
  • Drive integration of Snowflake native capabilities with strategic partners in the data governance, data observability, and AI/ML ecosystems.
  • Be a technical, strong and eloquent advocate for data and AI/ML quality governance through blog posts, webinars, and talks at internal and external conferences.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have 5+ years of working experience in a relevant technical role with at least 2 years in product management
  • Must have significant experience working with Engineering in a fast-paced product development environment
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping at least one successful data governance, data quality, or data observability offering in the cloud.
  • Have proven experience defining a roadmap and managing incremental execution through successful launches
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical design to multiple audiences and stakeholders
  • Be highly data driven, knowing how to get, understand, and use data to make the best possible decisions
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experience.

BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, or data observability ecosystem, products, and technologies
  • Hands-on experience working with data platforms as a data engineer or data scientist
  • Strong understanding of competitive data platform landscape

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $187,000 - $276,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
