To strengthen our team in San Diego,
we are looking for you as a(n) Business Controller.

Position Overview:

  • Provides business advice and counsel to the Site General Manager through active participation in the leadership team, acting as the business interface with all finance disciplines and actively participating in the development of business operating strategies.
  • Timely and accurate completion of ongoing operational analysis required by Division, Region, or Corporate management. Analyze and report on key variances to targets, forecast and prior year.
  • Perform the pre/post calculations of specific customer projects. Manage the project controlling tool, which includes monitoring of the Process Development and Quality Control work pages. Compare and analyze the actual versus estimated working hours of various customer projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate planning and forecasting for the organization, including calculation of the annual plant rates. Meet with department heads to discuss headcount and spending forecasts. Manage valuation of inventory based on material batch calculations. Support long-range strategic planning process and 5-year business plan.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts within the organization by initiating and/or participating in projects that reduce costs or improve efficiency.
  • Support / prepare presentations for all levels of management on business performance. Deliver presentations on business results in various settings, including monthly operational meetings.
  • Other responsibilities include: Participate in and support of quarterly / annual audit, oversight of physical inventories, financial evaluation of capital expenditures, ad hoc analysis, special projects (e.g. SAP implementation), and ensuring continued compliance with Wacker's regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years experience

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $125,000.00 - $172,000.00 The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc . Wacker is a multi state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
