Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Software Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to

  • Design, develop, create, and update software test automation suite using Java programming language, along with TestNg and Maven framework, for validating web service request/response for Payments Transaction API made by multiple merchants and routed to payment processors.
  • Develop, create, and execute automation test cases for validating end-toend SOA architecture software components for synchronous and asynchronous for REST and SOAP based API calls.
  • Perform extensive functional testing, concurrency testing, and transition testing using tools including POSTMAN, SOAP UI, and Splunk.
  • Design and create software tests for payments batching scenarios using FIT automation.
  • Work extensively on Maven as build tool, Jenkins as build/deployment tool, and Bitbucket/GIT for Code Version Control.
  • Create, develop, and execute tests for server side validation for Tomcat and JBoss servers using Putty, Winscp, and UNIX.
  • Create and execute tests for databases modification, insertion, and deletion, using SQL developer and SQL queries.
  • Ensure that business requirements are met and coded correctly.
  • Maintain and create knowledge transfer documents and participate in peer/code review sessions.
  • Track, identify, and log bugs using JIRA, and troubleshoot and fix software issues.
  • Work with BusOps team to support Production Deployment for monthly releases and run UAT test on PROD environment to ensure the failure-free code push.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Web applications, web services, Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting and RDBMS.
  • UI/UX automation with Selenium, multi-browser testing.
  • Writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting problems in Linux or Unix based application servers, such as JBoss, Tomcat, or WebSphere environments.
  • Quality methodology, release process, or testing techniques.
  • Testing in an AGILE environment.
  • Testing environment migration, DB and infrastructure or system upgrades.
Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $112,299.00 USD to $152,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
