Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to

  • Design and implement test solutions and take them to production while ensuring high quality completion of all testing phases by following an agile methodology.
  • Gather and clarify software requirements, facilitate communication with other groups within the organization, and guide architectural decisions.
  • Attend daily scrum sessions for the planning and detailed sizing of projects.
  • Provide demos on products to the business teams on a biweekly basis.
  • Participate in software quality assurance testing strategies to build the test plans on project level validations.
  • Responsible for automating test cases and enhancing the automation frameworks in order to validate and push new features to the production environment with greater efficiency.
  • Support releases, perform release integration and production testing, and partner integration testing along with functional security testing.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Test Engineer-related occupation.
  • Agile Development, Continuous Integration, and automated testing
  • Java, Oracle, Web servers, Testing automation with rest assured, Test NG, Maven, Selenium, and SoapUI
  • Unix and/or Linux
  • RESTful API's
  • Writing code/script to test applications or building test frameworks across different technologies.
Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:Position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $146,420.00 USD to $189,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
