A South Bay startup is looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their team. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for technical accounting around equity, financial reporting, assisting with month-end, and supporting SEC reporting. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4-6 years of public accounting experience
- Active CPA
- Advanced Excel
- Experience to technical accounting and accounting standards
- Equity compensation management
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations around stock pay
- Assist with the yearly financial statement audit
- Assist with SEC reporting
- Assist with SOX testing and internal controls
- Management analysis
- Support special projects as they come up
- Reports to a very experienced mentor who is nice and family-oriented
- Exciting time to set up processes and internal controls for a meaningful company
- Equity (obviously) and bonus eligible
- Hybrid role (2 days in office)

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
