Position Summary:
As the Director of Marketing Transformation and Excellence, you will have the opportunity to shape the 10x Way of Marketing for the Global Marketing function. You will establish a marketing mindset that puts the customer at the center of where to play and how to win strategic choices. By working with the teams to implement the frameworks, you'll empower more effective and efficient marketing activities and accelerate strategic execution.
This position reports to the Head of Global Marketing, aligns closely with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), and works cross-functionally with stakeholders across 10x Genomics.
What you will be doing:
- Build and embed a 10x Way of Marketing that puts the customer at the center of where to play and how to win strategic choices and that emphasizes focused execution.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Leadership Team and other cross-functional stakeholders to evolve marketing's vision and to translate that into prioritized market segments, audience targets, and differentiated positioning.
- Work with the cross-functional teams to activate the strategy in value proposition, product, pricing, promotional, and communication choices.
- Identify and measure key performance indicators for marketing framework efficacy.
- Develop "minimum viable" marketing frameworks, systems and programs to implement critical commercial and marketing priorities.
- Lead strategic transformational projects as we continue to scale the marketing organization.
- Bring broad expertise in upstream and downstream marketing to empower and accelerate teams and to identify areas of process or infrastructure efficiency.
- Connect with the rest of the 10x Genomics teams to build relationships and demonstrate the value of marketing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM or relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of total experience and 5 years in the job function
- Managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed relationship for 5+ years
- Prior experience in life sciences
- Excellent communication and program/project management skills
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- MBA or other masters/advanced degree with relevant experience preferred
Travel: 20-30% domestic and international travel expected
Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
