Job Description

Pay Range: $22.50 - $26.45

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm-11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant II is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. The HR Assistant II is responsible for completing administrative paperwork regarding new hires, termination, benefits, and other workplace programs. The HR Assistant II supports the administrative office in performing routine clerical, and administrative work in answering telephones, providing team member assistance, data processing, and record-keeping. Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Receives incoming calls and answers questions in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from team members and management team.
  • Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
    • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance including practice management software and other employee databases.
  • Assists employee and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist with recruiting and new-employee orientations.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
    • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Provides clerical and operational support to other administrative staff.
  • Maintains office supply inventory and maintains clean and safe environment.
  • Assisting with ongoing projects, anniversaries, special events, and planning as needed.
  • May assist with preparation of human resources reports, such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years related recruiting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • An HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing andassessing candidates.
  • High level of planning and organizational skills.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels ofthe company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient use of PC (Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated drive and ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to occasionally work varied shifts/weekends and travel to assist at otherfacilities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
