Building on the legacy of the Civil Rights movement, the equity-minded staff team of EOP, comprising both students and professionals, passionately advocate for and collaborate with each student and the broader campus community. Their dedication extends from the first year of enrollment through graduation and beyond, as they work tirelessly to dismantle systemic barriers to student success, illuminate the hidden curriculum, and cultivate an inclusive environment where students can both learn and thrive at UC Santa Cruz.

The UCSC HSI (Hispanic Serving Institutions) Initiatives are focused on improving educational equity through academic and advising interventions for at-risk and historically disadvantaged student populations. The EOP and HSI teams reside within the Division of Student Affairs and Success at UC Santa Cruz.
