See Yourself as a Senior Compensation Analyst

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive and equitable compensation programs that align with the organization's goals, values, and culture. The main responsibilities of this role include performing job analyses and market pricing, consulting and advising on compensation issues and solutions, developing and delivering compensation training and/or communication materials, contributing to the development and improvement of compensation practices, policies and procedures, participating in annual salary surveys and compensation planning processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop innovative compensation solutions to support the attraction and retention of top talent while reflecting market conditions, internal equity, a strong pay for performance philosophy and the company's priorities.

  • Provide expertise through superior consultation and delivery of compensation solutions to People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, and People Leaders, ensuring we collectively reach sound compensation decisions to support the achievement of business objectives.

  • Represent Compensation in the design, implementation and on-going management of annual compensation planning, rewards and recognition programs, retention compensation programs, and short- and long-term incentive plans, including any productivity-based plans.

  • Influence and/or establish pricing methodologies (use of discounts/premiums, weightings, etc.) and best practice procedures driving consistency of process and application as well as compliance with regulations.

  • Continuously review the current job architecture and systematic job leveling approach that enables us to better support hiring, career growth and job evaluation ultimately leading to great compensation packages.

  • Work in a culture of continuous analytics and monitoring of current programs to find areas to improve and align with strategic priorities so that compensation is part of the proposition that can attract, engage, and retain top talent.

  • Complete market evaluations for all broad-based jobs as part of our annual process and analysis as well as throughout the year supporting the creation of new jobs or updates to existing job descriptions.

  • Analyze market data and internal equity to support sound compensation decisions. Track increase spending against budget.

  • Identify and recommend annual menu of surveys for participation and purchase. Complete and submit data and analyzes data when returned.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Executive Compensation - Conduct market analysis and consult with senior executives for annual compensation planning of Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Executive Vice President positions

  • Equity and Stock Plan Administration - Provide secondary support and administration

  • Employee Recognition and Service Anniversary Program Administration - Partner with the vendor to design and develop programs designed to provide recognition and awards for employees service and outstanding performance. Champion engagement and utilization of the recognition platform. Provide analysis and reporting to monitor usage and ensure equitable distribution.

  • Compensation and Human Capital Management Committee - Support creation of presentations and supporting analysis for inclusion in Board materials in order to clearly tell our compensation story.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.


QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • Work Experience: 8 or more years of prior work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Compensation, supporting internal decision making, market analysis, and external benchmarking for a range of positions from non-exempt to senior executive levels;

  • Experience working in public company, preferably in a company with highly skilled financial, technology and data analytics talent;

  • Deep understanding, knowledge, and experience applying compensation principles, practices, and methodologies, including job evaluation, market pricing, pricing methodologies, pay structures, incentive design, executive compensation and equity administration;

  • Deep understanding and experience with Compensation surveys, including participation, benchmarking, data validation, and data analysis in order to make data-driven decisions and recommendations;

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large and complex data sets, and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations;

  • Strong consultation, collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and partnerships across the organization;

Preferred Years of Prior Work-Related Experience: Prior experience in equity/stock plan administration is a plus

Other Qualifications, including any special skills, capabilities, and competencies:

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment;

  • Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in Excel and other compensation tools and systems, such as survey management, market analysis, and data visualization software;

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of all critical and sensitive information required;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex and technical information in a clear and concise manner to different audiences and levels;

  • Highly resourceful with the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems

  • High level of professionalism, results orientation and customer focus required;

  • High level of personal accountability with a commitment to delivering high-quality work, taking ownership of responsibilities;

  • Experience with equity compensation and stock plan administration a plus

  • Experience working within a Workday environment a plus

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred
