What you will do:

  • Manage the Homefeed Ranking (Product Enablement) engineering team. The team is an advanced ML engineering team building end-to-end ranking solutions for the latest & greatest product features on the Homefeed: modules, tabs, landing pages for modules + tabs and more. This team's work is directly impactful to Homefeed recommendations which contributes to a huge part of Pinterest impressions, engagement, revenue and most importantly the Pinner experience.
  • Lead a group of ML experts to apply cutting edge ML techniques to the ranking tech stack.
  • Partner with engineering teams on shopping, engagement and content to advance key company OKRs.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to build roadmaps, plan and execute team strategies.

What we are looking for:

  • Ph.D. with 5+ years or Masters with 6+ years of industry experience working on production machine learning systems at scale, including recommendation, search and/or ads systems.
  • 1+ years experience on managing or tech leading ML engineering teams with 5+ engineers.
  • Experience in working with user-facing products.
  • Experience in working in cross team collaborations, good communication skills.
  • Experience working on newest ML frontiers, e.g. LLM.
  • Experience working at established companies with large volumes of data.
